Anti-Light Mode: Users want our gadgets and interfaces to be luminous intensity adaptive and able to vary accordingly. Gone are the days when users would occasionally desire to go to dark mode. Allow the option to go from light mode to our nighttime friend dark mode when the light feels too harsh, such as when you need to wear those gorgeous sunglasses at 10am after a night out. The original lighter interfaces are now practically mocked for how archaic or annoying they may be as more and more people adopt dark mode.

Anti-Design: Contrary to the last decade of design, which was more functional and business-oriented, anti-design promotes “unconventional choices and self-expression.” It’s important to go against the grain these days.

• Designing with Cross Device User Experience:

The term “cross-device user behaviour” describes how a user may interact with a specific funnel using two or more different devices at various points of the trip. While transitioning from short-focus (mobile) to extended-focus (desktop) periods of time, we alternate between devices frequently.
